In their own words

"I moved to Ashfield knowing nobody. Within two weeks of coming to the Tuesday dinner I had a group of friends. This place genuinely changed my life."

Marcus T.

"The CV workshop helped me land my first job in three years. The staff sat with me for two hours and didn't rush me once."

Priya N.

"My mum comes to the Senior Social every week. She talks about it all weekend. For someone who lives alone, that connection means everything."

Common questions

Do I need to be a member to come in?
Not at all. Walk-ins are always welcome. You can join as a member for free if you'd like to book rooms or access certain programs.
Is everything free?
Most programs, events, and drop-in services are completely free. Some workshops charge a small materials fee (always under Β£5) and this is always shown upfront.
When is the hub open?
Monday to Saturday, 9am–8pm. We're closed on Sundays and bank holidays. Follow us on social media for any last-minute closures.
My English isn't great β€” can I still come?
Absolutely. We have multilingual volunteers and can often arrange interpretation. Please don't let language be a barrier β€” just come in.
How do I sign up to volunteer?
Speak to anyone at reception or fill in our short online form. We'll invite you to a relaxed induction session and match you with a role that suits you.

Need a space for your group?

Our main hall (capacity 80), two meeting rooms, and garden are available to hire. Free for registered charities. Subsidised rates for community groups and local businesses.
